About

I've sat in the seat you're applying for.

I've spent 7+ years building a career in data in Boston, Massachusetts. I started as a Product Data Analyst at an enterprise financial services firm, moved to a BI Analyst role at a mid-sized cybersecurity company, and now manage the analytics engineering function at a mature startup.

I've worked across the full modern data stack: writing SQL every day, building dbt pipelines, deploying dashboards in Looker and Tableau, and shipping Python-based data products. Most recently, I pivoted into analytics engineering and I know firsthand what that transition takes.

I've also recently branched out into entrepreneurship, building a full-stack SaaS platform, FantasyAMP, that has grown to a community of 1,700+ users. That experience has given me a broader perspective on what it means to ship a product end-to-end and wear multiple hats.

I'm not a senior exec three levels removed from the work. I'm a young professional who debugs code daily, keeps up with the latest AI tools, and has my pulse on what the data job market actually looks like right now. That means practical, current advice from someone who understands what you're facing.

I've sat in the rooms where data hiring decisions are made and I know what companies are looking for in candidates. Let me help you position yourself to succeed in today's competitive environment.

Why I do this

At my last two roles, I found myself naturally gravitating toward mentoring co-ops and interns. The career-focused 1:1s I gave at the end of their rotations became some of my most requested meetings, and the feedback I received was that my advice helped them land full-time roles in data.

That stuck with me. There's something deeply rewarding about helping someone avoid the mistakes you've made in the past. I have applied to hundreds of data jobs over the years and all of that interviewing has sharpened my skills. I've learned what works and what doesn't. I'd be happy to share what I've learned in my career and through my application process if you choose to work with me.

How I can help

Whether you're a new grad, recently experienced a layoff, or an employed professional looking for a pivot within data, I can help. I'll be upfront: I'm not a Data Scientist or AI/ML Engineer, but I've worked closely on projects with them. If you're targeting AI/ML roles specifically, I'm not the best resource. But if you're looking for Data Analyst, BI Analyst, Data Engineer, or Analytics Engineering roles, let's have a conversation about how to position yourself to succeed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is your website called AMP Analytics?

My first business was a fantasy football platform called FantasyAMP, built around the idea of amplifying fantasy football with better data and tools. "Amplify Your Data Job Search" doesn't exactly roll off the tongue as a name, but the spirit is the same. I'm here to help you amp up your career in data analytics, and that's where the name stuck.

What should I expect when we meet?

For the intro call, expect a casual Google Meet and greet with some questions about what you're looking for. For paid sessions, I'll have content and slides prepared but the tone will be conversational, not academic. After the content is done, time will remain for any questions you have or topics you want to dive deeper into.

Let's talk.
